In this video I created a beautiful summer dried flower wreath with step-by-step, easy-to-follow instructions. A few pro tips will help you make a stunning, long-lasting showpiece that adds a touch of rustic charm to your home. This comprehensive guide provides everything you need to know, from choosing the right flowers to perfecting the finishing touches.
I use a grapevine wreath as my base and German statice for my background element. All of my stems easily stick right into the grapevine. I chose a yellow, lavender and pink palette for the summer theme. After I covered the entire wreath in statice, I added fragrant lavender. To brighten the design for the season I used yellow yarrow. Yarrow doesn't lose any of its vibrancy dried.
Another flower that doesn't fade when dried is strawflower. It is available in many colors. I went heavy on yellow but also added some purple and pink.
To finish off the wreath I added a few poppy pods for texture and interest. So summery!
