In this video I create the centerpiece for a charming summer tablescape using fresh blooms arranged in a teapot. I provide easy-to-follow instructions and expert tips for achieving a beautiful and fragrant centerpiece.
The teapot I chose was mostly blue with red strawberries so I wanted the flowers to complement the palette. I started with blue delphinium to create the shape of the design. Pink stock is my line flower and winks at the fruit. Red yarrow is closer to the berry color on the pot. White calla lilies are my focal flower. To bring some interest I use some tall red scoop scabiosa and pop them out.
Next to the teapot, I made an accompanying small arrangement in a shallow teacup. I needed both chicken wire and some floral tape to keep the flowers inside the cup. Again I started with delphinium. I had some short side-shoots from my peonies that were perfect for the teacup. The pink color also complemented the palette. I had a spray rose with multiple blooms. It was another chance to use some shorties. I also finish the teacup with scabiosa.
