In this video I demonstrate step-by-step my process for creating stunning mason jar centerpieces, perfect for any occasion. This video is ideal for beginners who want to add a touch of elegance and charm to their events without the need for complex floral arrangements.
I recorded this demonstration at open farm day at The Gardener's Workshop in Newport News, Virginia. I was in their air conditioned warehouse (it was a hot summer day) where farmer Lisa Ziegler stores her products. After tours of the farm, visitors shopped at the warehouse and watched me design.
All of the flowers in this arrangement were grown by Lisa at her farm. I used fragrant basil as the foliage base. Pink plume celosia was my line flower. For focal face flowers I used rudbeckia and zinnias. Double-click cosmos was a secondary focal. To finish up with some bits and pieces I add a few strawflowers.
There were some questions and chit chat after I was done with the design. Open farm day at The Gardener's Workshop is always a fun time.
